Diane is one of London's most high profile qualified guides with over 20 years guiding and public speaking experience.

Diane has always lived in London and has always loved history, obtaining a BA honours degree in the subject. She cut her guiding teeth on the streets of Islington in the mid 90s before obtaining further guiding qualifications (City of London and the London Blue Badge) and becoming a full time guide in 1999. Local radio spots on the subject of “Secret London” helped to increase her profile and she has built up a regular clientele of groups ranging from students to seniors and corporate clients. Diane is a tutor on the subject of London history at two of the capital’s best known further education colleges: Bishopsgate Institute and City Lit . She is the author of the book “London Then and Now” which made it into the top ten best seller list in BBC History Magazine. When she isn’t working Diane can usually be found in a theatre auditorium watching everything from Shakespeare to contemporary drama so you won’t be surprised to learn that her specialist subject is Theatrical London but she can turn her hand to most types of tour with a very wide repertoire of over 100 walks which can be found on her website. “Interesting” “Entertaining””Accomplished” “Lively” and “Vivacious” are all words that have been used by Diane’s regular clients when reviewing her tours. She is just as enthusiastic about Islington as she was on the day she qualified and is looking forward to introducing you to the borough’s history and secret places.
