Then you should sign up for the award-winning Clerkenwell and Islington Tour Guiding course which begins again in October. The course comprises lectures, presentations and visits based on Islington’s areas and themes, plus practical training sessions on how to present history on the streets, and guide in historic interiors. The course is taught by experienced Local London guides. When you’ve completed the 26-week course, you’ll be awarded a guide’s Badge and Diploma, and the opportunity to join the Clerkenwell and Islington Guides’ Association. Applications are open now.
