This guided walk starts at Highbury and Islington Underground station.
Islington has developed from a rural idyll famed for pleasure gardens and dairy farms to a crowded inner city suburb. It has gone through enormous changes, some which have had harsh effects and some which are to be celebrated. Along the way we reflect on the changes and also find out about individuals who set up local initiatives and clubs to improve life for everyone in the area. …
This walks ends at Freightliners City Farm where you can relax in the cafe and reconnect with Islington’s famring past.
