The New River - Islington's Lost Waterway

The New River was an ambitious 17th century scheme to supply London with water by digging a canal from Hertfordshire. While the New River now only flows as far as Stoke Newington, traces of the river still exist in Islington. This 90-minute walk looks for signs of the New River and tells the stories of people who lived by its banks.
