Event Details

Travel through a thousand years of history, meeting kings, artists, writers, painters, musicians, a real life Rapunzel, and even an Egyptian mummy!

Tickets are available to purchase online, or you can pay the £10 in cash on the day (just send me a message on Facebook so that I know you’ll be joining us!)

On our tour we’ll visit Islington’s green spaces, churches, historic buildings, and a river that isn’t a river. You’ll hear how the area of Islington was transformed from monastic lands, to dairy farms (mind the cows!), to the sprawl of nineteenth century London.

The tour begins outside Highbury & Islington Station, ends on Islington Green, and will take around two hours. Total distance is around two miles.
